Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. In Charleston O'Dell's reporting about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the State authorities issuing a more stringent directive regarding these situations.
